'In 1967, in response to Copley’s request to contribute to S.M.S., Duchamp gave him a sound recording (present location, unknown) he had made at an amusement booth around 1950. For the label of the record, they conceived of using a fascimile of one of the Disks Inscribed With Puns, 1926 (cat. no. 415-23), that Duchamp used in his film Anemic Cinema, 1926-26 (cat. no. 424).'

This recording is an extraordinary anthology of the texts Duchamp thought most meaningful. It includes the full text of Written Wrotten, 1940 (Cat. no. 480); aphorisms and puns from the first postcard in Rendez-Vous du Dimanche 6 Fevrier 1916, 1916 (cat. no. 338); and Notes 98, 99, and 97 and excerpts from Notes 36 and 124 in Notes and Projects and published in the Green Box, 1934 (cat. no. 435).'
