Gillian Forrester notes that 'Turner's working title for the plate was 'Boy's Fishing. Jews Harp', a reference to the eighteenth-century tea garden situated close to his Queen Anne Street house in Marylebone Fields, which was demolished when Regent's Park was laid out several years later.'
